Controversial Zuleyka Rivera

Miss Universe 2006, Zuleyka Rivera, has had her own controversies that made her even more popular as an international celebrity.

After she was crowned as the winner, Rivera fainted briefly during a press appearance. The incident was reportedly attributed to heat exhaustion from the stage lights coupled with the weight of the heavy, chained dress she was wearing.

But "gossipers" did not pick up the story instead they graced discussion boards proclaiming Rivera was pregnant and was in danger of lossing her crown. This was proven wrong when Rivera's belly did not bloat after months.

After her reign, she was linked to a powerful Turkish businessman. She was photographed with Yilmaz Bektaz while flirting with each other.

The news was came from a Turkish magazine. Written in Turkish, the Hurriyet article talked about Yilmaz chartering a plane for Zuleyka to bring her to Istanbul. The article was accompanied by photos, taken by OK! magazine, showing the couple dining at the exclusive Zuma restaurant.

It's interesting to note that Yilmaz was at that time married to another beauty queen, 1993 Miss World Second Princess, Ruffa Gutierrez of the Philippines whom he has two daughters.

Lastly, when she crowned her successor in Mexico City, Riyo Mori of Japan, she was reportedly being so bitch while letting the crown fell off the head of the Japanese. The vibrant personality of Riyo made her prevented the crown from falling.
